Maximize Sales

It’s easy – identify the main concerns your customers have and then describe how you do a great job of solving those problems.

This needs to be done in a visually compelling way. Don’t use a lot of text.

Lightning Fast

Many studies show a 1 second improvement in site speed can improve conversion rates by 10%.

The trick is to keep the site simple, use super fast technology and keep image files small by using modern file types.

Easy To Manage

If you ever want to change some text, or an image, or a color it is super easy. Those kind of things take less than 5 minutes so I don’t even charge for them.

Boost Your SEO

The 5 most common mistakes are:

– Poor keyword optimization
– Neglecting Meta Tags and Descriptions
– Inadequate content quality
– Ignoring URL structure
– Slow page speed

I make sure every site I build is up to speed on all the SEO best practices.

Iron Clad Security

The dirty little secret of website security is that usually companies have problems when they don’t keep up with established best practices.

Whenever a company gets hacked they want to pretend a super genius did it. Usually they weren’t doing the things they knew they should be doing.

FAQ

My sites range from $2,000 – $8,000. That includes:

  • UI/UX Design
  • Copywriting
  • Graphic + Asset Creation
  • Technical SEO Optimization
  • Analytics + Goal Setup
  • Full Ownership of Design + Development
  • 2 Weeks Post-Launch Support

Usually 1-2 weeks.

When it takes longer it is usually because there is something outside my control. That could be because you need another vendor to shoot custom video at your location or I didn’t hear back from the client (you) on a few questions I had.

Usually small to medium businesses but I am open to any legitimate business.

Just WordPress. All the sites I build are built with WordPress. It is by far the most popular website building tool.

It is by far the most popular website builder because it is offers the most features and the greatest ease of use. About 45% of all websites on the internet are built with wordpress. It allows people all over the world to extend its functionality with software (called plug-ins) so it has built an eco system that delivers both a reliable foundation and the ability for anybody to innovate.

With so many companies using it any problems that do come up are usually fixed very quickly.

No, I custom build everything. However, my websites do tend to look similar because like any artist I have my own sense of style. Also, after building a lot of websites for a lot of companies I personally feel like there are only so many design variations that make a difference when it comes to maximizing sales. I have a controversial point of view that a lot of complicated design variations only happen because designers get bored and want to try new stuff.

Yes, I am a one person shop. Sometimes I get help creating custom images from a graphic designer friend, but other than that I do everything.

Results vary, but my averages are:

  • 40% faster
  • 30% more SEO traffic
  • 70% more revenue

In order to maintain these averages I only take on businesses where I am confident I can get these outcomes. My ideal client has a differentiated product in a market large enough for these increases to be possible. If you are selling the exact same thing all your competitors are selling then I cannot help you.

Yes but you really shouldn’t need much. When these sites are built properly they don’t need much maintenance in the first year or two. I don’t charge for small things like changing some text, or an image or a color.

Usually the only time I charge for anything is when a company wants more pages built.

Not very. My take on this is different from pretty much every website designer. I think designs should last at least 5 years.

I think a lot of designers want companies to redesign their sites more frequently so the designers can get paid.

Agencies have a lot of overhead costs and as they get larger those costs only go up. Typically agencies only pay front line employees 1/3 of what they charge the client. The rest of the money goes to layers of management, office space, and the cost of dealing with constant employee turnover.

I don’t have any of those overhead expenses so I can deliver a better site for cheaper and still make plenty of money.

  1. Use industry leading hosting. I use Kinsta because it is not the cheapest but it is widely recognized as one of the best.
  2. Keep it simple. Only use a small number of plugins that are tried and true.
  3. Use a password manager or write your password down on physical paper and keep it in a safe. Don’t keep it in a text file on your computer or send it over email.
